On March 12 2017 The sub-unit made their first live appearance on SBS's Inkigayo, performing both "You and Me Together" and "Love&Live". On March 13, they officially debuted with the release of their album and title track Love&Live. After the sub-unit debut, ViVi was officially revealed as the fifth member of Loona and released a solo album with the title track "Everyday I Love You" being the only member to debut in a subunit before her solo album. Their repackage album, 'Love&Evil' included three new songs with the new title track and music video "Sonatine".
The sub-unit cost 4 million dollars to produce, with the music video for their title track being filmed in New Zealand and Hong Kong.

LOONA 1/3 is a combination of girls on planet earth. These girls portray the most realistic and practical sceneries that can easily be found on the streets or in school. Each member traveled abroad to different countries to represent different locations that are part of the member’s individual concepts: Heejin (France) Hyunjin (Japan) Haseul (Iceland) Vivi (Hong Kong)LOONA 1/3 initially derived its name from it consisting 1/3 of LOONA’s members.
A second meaning to the group's name occurs when their numbers are flipped to create “3 / 1”. The “3” is said to represent HeeJin, HyunJin, and HaSeul (the first three members to be introduced), the “/” is YeoJin (YeoJin was revealed after HaSeul, making her a break between the reveal of members of LOONA 1/3), and the “1” represents ViVi (she was the last member to be introduced after the break)LOONA 1/3’s music presents itself with a soft concept around the theme of love as the members express the innocence and excitement of having a first crush. In their first album, Love & Live, the unit sings about the thrill of first love, while in their second album, Love & Evil, they sing the sorrows of a heartbreak. The two colliding themes bring together the co-existence of sweetness with the cruelty of love.
A teaser titled "Reveal" was released on August 30 2017. The teaser revealed "Odd Eye Circle" as the name of the sub-unit. The sub-unit officially debuted on September 21 2017, with the release of their EP Mix & Match and a music video for "Girl Front".
On September 23, the English version of one of their songs from Mix & Match, "Loonatic" was released with the music video.
On October 31, a repackage of their extended play Mix & Match titled Max & Match was released with the addition of two tracks and the new lead single "Sweet Crazy Love", along with its music video.

The three letters in “ODD” represent three overlapping moons. In the loonaverse, this unit possess unique powers and odd eyes (one unique eye that glows an upward crescent in their representative color.) Kim Lip has the power of traveling through time through speed, JinSoul is able to travel in space (teleportation) and Choerry transport through other member’s universes with mirrors or cherries. They live in the middle earth "between Earth and the Cosmos", the center of the loonaverse. Middle Earth follows its own abstract rules. It can look like earth, but it can also look other-worldly. The members of ODD EYE CIRCLE are known for wearing white school uniforms with skirts matching their representative color, as well as white canvas shoes.ODD EYE CIRCLE’s music represents itself a girl crush concept around the theme of love and attraction. Other subjects in their songs include playfulness, temptation, romance and intimacy.
The three girls of ODD EYE CIRCLE talk about how you shouldn’t wait for love to happen passively, but should take the initiative to make it happen yourself.
On April 26, a teaser was released titled "youth youth by young" that introduces their sub-unit name "yyxy" and the members as well. On May 19, a teaser photo was released revealing the title track "love4eva" and that it would be featuring Grimes as some of her fans asked her to produce the group as well. On May 30, their title track along with their EP Beauty & the Beat was released featuring Grimes.

yyxy is composed of four girls held in a separate dimension called Eden. In “love4eva”, it’s revealed that if they eat their individual Forbidden Fruit, they are expelled from Eden. They soon feel trapped and adventurous, so Yves convinces Chuu and Go Won to eat their forbidden fruit and escape with her. Olivia Hye (Hyeju) also wants to go but is not brave enough to eat her fruit. They leave without her. Olivia Hye eventually eats her fruit and tries to follow them, but becomes lost and angry. She knows that Yves plans to create a new dimension, and decides to destroy it out of anger at being abandoned by her friends.This journey is about the ego of the youth. Being in love, hurt, broken, but still stepping forward, the girls capture moments of youth to complete an ego. They express that ego is falling in love with themselves, and that they must first love themselves before loving others. They declare neanthropic chromosome yyxy, different to xx or xy chromosomes.

On June 15, ARTMS social media revealed the first teaser for ODD EYE CIRCLE's highly anticipated comeback. The trio made their official return on July 12 with the mini album "Version Up". Heejin also debuted solo with her mini album <K> and Haseul released a single 'Plastic Candy' along with mini concerts.
Their First release as a group was 'The Carol 3.0' and its english version. They will debut with a full album 'Dall' <Devine All Love & Live> in May 31 2024, with multiple premiere singles: Birth, Flower rhythm, Candy crush and Air. The title track of the album is 'Virtual Angel'

After gaining freedom from their previous company, On March 17 2023, HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry signed exclusive contracts with MODHAUS, the record label founded by their former director Jaden Jeong. On March 31, in an interview, Jaden Jeong stated that the members were already working on new music with Jeong collaborating with JinSoul to develop their A&R skills. The four girls' activities will be named "Artemis Strategy", after the Greek goddess of the moon.
On April 1, the social networks and official website of the project were opened. The teaser photo shows 12 moons (referring to the members of LOONA), four of them full, which represent the members who will begin this story, HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul and Choerry.
Months later, ARTMS official accounts uploaded a video with the title “Who's Next Girl?”, where LOONA member HaSeul confirmed her entry into the project.
On August 20, a video titled "[Trailer] Loossemble (루셈블) '..searching for their friends'" was revealed. A day later, on August 21, the schedule of the group's debut activities was revealed. On June 11, 2023, it was reported that HyunJin and ViVi had signed exclusive contracts with the new agency CTD ENM formed by Yoon Do Yeon, who previously worked for LOONA. On June 26, all LOONA members achieved the cancellation of their contracts, which incorporated three more members into the future project: Gowon, YeoJin and HyeJu (Olivia Hye).
It was announced that the five girls would hold their first event 'Run, Orbit' at the Jamsil Student Gym. On the day of the event, was announced that the name of the project is LOOSSEMBLE, giving an official start to their activities as a group.
On August 3, 2023, LOOSSEMBLE and South Korean app Fromm Store announced a promotional tour for the group titled "LOONA Assemble: the US Debut Ceremony". The tour will take the quintet to several cities in the United States, including Atlanta, Houston, New York, among others.
